Birth + Labor Support
In my birth support offerings, I focus on preparation through information -- on pregnancy, labor and early parenting, including infant feeding and care. I support clients having their babies at home births and in birth centers. During early visits at home following the birth of your child and in the initial weeks of postpartum, I provide assistance in recovery and healing with yoni herbal steams, bodywork with suggestions and facilitation of rituals and ceremonies marking this momentous rite of passage.
Postpartum Bodywork
Trained in various modalities of bodywork, traditional Mexican bodywork using the rebozo, womb massage, barefoot bodywork in the Ashiatsu style, and cupping as well as using the gua sha stemming from Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) methodology, all for easing tension and realigning the bones, and helping birthing folks integrate the new changes they're experiencing.
Postpartum Belly Wrapping
Belly wrapping is another postpartum healing offering, a practice that supports the new birthing parent in womb warmth retention, uterine involution, postural support during breastfeeding, encouraging internal organs to migrate back to their original location, correction of diastasis recti, to overall give the new parent a sense of being held, feeling physically supported with. asense of togetherness.
Postpartum Herbal Yoni Steam
Womb warming is an important element in the first few weeks of healing after birth and herbs and plant allies provide tissue and cellular repair support as well as being a great compassionate comforting healing practice.
Bone Closing Ceremony
To bring those first 40 days of postpartum time to close, that early postpartum time, when whole families are integrating transition, transition earthside for the babies, into parenthood for the birthing person and partners, through healing and processing, through challenges and blessings, we honor it all with an acknowledgement and love.
